The PokerGO Tour (PGT) Last Chance 2023 series wrapped up on Sunday with a victory from poker commentator Nick Schulman, which means the roster is set for the PGT Championship $1,000,000 Freeroll that kicks off on Jan. 9 and will crown a winner on Jan. 10.

Dylan Destefano and Samuel Laskowitz were the final two players to win seats into the $1 million freeroll with victories in the Last Chance series.

They will join the other 38 players atop the PGT leaderboard, including Isaac Haxton, Chris Brewer, Stephen Chidwick, Daniel Weinman, Alex Foxen, Ren Lin, Sam Soverel, Steven Jones, Jeremy Ausmus and ten-time bracelet winnerErik Seidel.

Martirosian Nabs Two Titles

The Last Chance series consisted of five $10,000 buy-in events and kicked off with Daniel Negreanu winning his first tournament of the year as he rebounds off a $2.2 million loss in 2023.

The next winner was Artur Martirosian, who took down Event #2: $10,100 No-Limit Hold'em for $211,200 less than a month after final tabling the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas.

It wouldn't be the high-stakes Russian pro's last victory as he later got through a field of 79 runners in Event #5 to win $197,500 as he defeated heads-up opponent Sam Soverel.

Connecticut pro Dylan Destefano picked up a win in Event #4 for $195,000 for not only his first PokerGO title, but also his first-ever live tournament victory as he adds to his $1.4 million in live earnings.

Another up-and-coming high-stakes pro, Samuel Laskowitz took down Event #3 for $205,000 and his first PokerGo title just a few weeks after taking down an NAPT Las Vegas High Roller for $180,850.

Things wrapped up with Nick Schulman defeated Chino Rheem in Event #6 after the two struck a deal that had Schulman earning $161,500 and Rheem getting $170,300. The two flipped for the trophy and Schulman came out of top for his fourth PokerGO Studio title.
